Shannon airport approx. 1hr 30 mins away. We can arrange collection to and from the airport if required. Galway City and the wonderful Connemara just over an hour away. Our home has 2 sitting rooms, very large kitchen/dining-room, playroom, games-room and formal dining room and large utility room with washing machine and dryer. We have 5 bathrooms with showers. We have a sunny patio area also with cast aluminium furniture and Weber gas barbeque. We also have high speed broadband. an X box 360, satellite television with all sports ,childrens and movie channels, and adults and childrens' bicycles and go-carts. We are lucky to live in an area with many country walks on our doorstep and yet the busy town life is only an 8 minute drive away. There are two large shopping centres in Athlone with lots of high street stores and some smaller boutiques as well as all the large chain supermarkets, Multiplex Cinema, restaurants, bars, bowling alley and main train station serving Dublin and Galway amongst other places. Athlone is in the centre of Ireland so it is an ideal touring base and we are happy to let you use our car. Clare with the world famous Burren, Cliffs of Moher and Bunratty Castle 2 hours drive approx. Clonmacnoise Ancient Monastic Settlement 30 mins. drive. Hire a Cruiser locally and explore The River Shannon for a few days. Lots of beautiful country walks nearby too if you like the great outdoors!
