Castleconnell is a lovely peaceful village within a 15-20 minute drive of the beautiful Adare village ;the Ryder cup venue; Limerick city centre; and within 30 mins drive from Shannon airport. The property itself is a detached bungalow located at the end of a sweeping avenue, in a quiet residential area. It has lush well maintained established gardens to the front and rear ,which ensure privacy. In addition the rear garden , has a large covered entertainment area including a built in barbecue area with plenty of seating .The driveway can accommodate several cars. The property itself can accommodate 9/10 . There are 5 bedrooms. The master bedroom boasts a superking sized bed, and private en-suite with shower. There are 3 other bedrooms within the main house, two of which have king size beds , and the third has a single bed which can easily be converted into a pullout double. The main bathroom, has a large corner bath and separate shower. There is also a separate annex which has its own king size bed and private ensuite with shower. The main living space is L shaped open plan, with a large 5 seat corner sofa with double ended recliners, and a large 65 inch smart TV with access to Sky and streaming services. The dining table can sit 8 The kitchen has large refrigerator , double oven, and open hob. Additionally there is access to a washing machine and tumble drier, and a utility room with plenty of space to hang/ air clothes. This room also houses a second large refrigerator , and a chest freezer. There is a separate sitting room with an open fire, to enjoy a quiet tipple and a good book . The outside space at this property is a real bonus. The rear garden is approaching one acre, and is well maintained. There is a small gym at the rear of the property. Castleconnell is centred around the river Shannon and offers some pleasant riverside strolls. The village has all the necessary amenities,including a supermarket,chemist , post office, cafes and a few very popular public houses ! There are several golf courses nearby , including Castletroy golf club (5-10 minute drive), Limerick golf club ( 15-20 min drive ), Ballyneety golf club and driving range (20-25 min drive ).

‘Rosool’…..(Wood of Apples )…is a beautiful 200 year old authentic Irish cottage. Ryder Cup Accommodation nestled in the middle of the countryside yet only a 4/5 minute drive from the motorway. From the motorway Adare is a 15 minute drive. The house itself was built in 1846 and I have retained as much of the natural charm both inside and on the grounds. The kitchen is a fine spacious room ..although with all modern appliances..it has the charm and atmosphere of an old kitchen. The room beside the kitchen, which once was an old sitting area is now a cozy dining area with high ceiling and has an old stove. Still in the original part of the cottage is a small but cute washroom, with shower washbasin and toilet. Further on and at the end of the original part of the cottage is a reading area, which connects the cottage with the barn. It is a super snug place to sit and relax with a coffee or glass of wine, double doors open out onto a small patio. Off this area is the master bedroom complete with a spacious bathroom. This main bedroom looks out onto the back garden …so lovely . The barn has been converted into the main sitting room …it is a large unique place with wooden floors and high wooden ceiling . There is a large open fireplace and lots of comfortable Sofas and chairs to lounge in . Off this sitting room are 2 more bedrooms .A double bedded room and a single. Both have washbasins and really comfy beds. Each bedroom has fluffy new towels, Egyptian Cotton sheets and luxurious toiletries . A hamper of Irish goodies will be waiting for you on arrival. There is a large garden area that you can relax and eat outdoors. Shannon airport is a 20 minute drive . Cork is approximately 1 hour 20 minutes away. Ryder Cup Hospitality attached to Traditional Irish pub “Guerins Bar”, 35 minutes from Adare village. 4 bedrooms available right now, possible 3 more bedrooms available by Ryder Cup 2027. 1x Double Bed room, sleeps 2. 2x Twin Singles Rooms, sleeps 2 each. 1x King and x2 Singles, sleeps 4. Our building is a 200 year old coach house which was then converted in to Paddy's family home & Pub (Guerin's Bar). The family home is now the Kingfisher Lodge. As mentioned, this building is 200 years old and is modernised as far as possible without damaging the character and heritage of the building. You will find that it is certainly clean, warm and welcoming. But, it does come with character. We say this as we would just like to set your expectations. We have many gleaming reviews which also come with many pictures and videos across many platforms such as Google, Booking.com & Facebook, you will find this easily online. Please be advised, all of our rooms share a communal bathroom which is strictly for our guests only and is found on the same floor as the rooms. It comes equipped with a shower, bath, sink & toilet. Toiletries and towels are also provided. While we do provide a fridge, microwave and tea / coffee station in the landing area, there is no cooking facilities. Every room comes with a smart tv with Disney, Netflix, Prime & more. We also offer high speed fibre optic wifi. Our traditional Irish pub is attached to our lodge. Guests are welcome to come and have a pint and listen to music. Live traditional music is a common occurance and sets the tone for an enjoyable night, sitting by the open fire and enjoying a drink. Additionally, for those who may enjoy fishing. Castleconnell Salmon Fishery is one of the most prestigious Salmon Fisheries in Ireland, located on the Shannon just 7 miles, 11 kms upriver of Limerick City and tidal water. The Fishery is about 4.5 miles long comprising 6 beats, each permitting 4 rods per beat. Each beat has up to six or more pools. The Fishery operates from sunrise to sunset seven days a week from March 1st to end of season September 30th. Paddy, the owner, is extremely knowledgeable about this and will guide you in the right direction should you wish to go fishing. A quick Google search will show that we are just 20 minutes from Limerick City Centre which hosts a vast amounts of excellent restaurants. More locally, we have the Castleoaks House Hotel and Bamboo Garden Asian restaurant. For breakfast and lunch there is the Shannon House or for a coffee, tea and pastry there is the ProTea cafe. Lodgers are more than welcome to bring their food to the pub downstairs to enjoy it there. There is also other local amenities in the village such a Shannon Stores corner shop. Whisps hairdressers. Sloans and Greencross Pharmacies. Supervalu Supermarket and Spin City, our local laundrette. There is also a train station just a one minute walk away which will bring you to Limerick City as well as a bus station just outside our front door. We also offer a private carpark for our guests. Finally, our must valuable asset, Paddy. At 88 years young and still running the Kingfisher Lodge and Bar. He is readily available to offer you assistance with anything you need.
